Sri Sudhesh
Chandra, is mainly a self taught teacher and teaches
B.K.S Iyengar's style of Yoga. Over the years he has
mastered "Pranayama" and is highly proficient in this
field. He was born on 15/12/1961. In his early 20's, he
was suffering from acute back-pain and Yoga came to his
rescue not only to cure the suffering but also to
motivate him to take this field as his profession. Being
in the field for more than two decades, he teaches "Asanas",
"Pranayamas" and "Dhyana"(Meditation) to students from
the basics. His easy way of teaching methods has
attracted many students both local and overseas.
Though he is
teaching Yoga from a long time, a center of how own "Sri
Upanishath Yoga Center Trust (R)" came to existence only
in 2003. This happened at the prompting of his own
student, one Dr. Christine (Canadian), to have his own
Yoga Center. For almost one year Mr. Sudhesh has kept a
log of his students' comments who had learnt Yoga from
him. Following are some of the comments :

what you have taught me, I believe that I am now a much
healthier person"

The above
comments clearly indicate the effectiveness of Mr.
Sudhesh's teachings. His way of teaching is simple but
effective. He also takes intensive care in discussing
the present status of the student, both physical and
mental, and then decide a course to suite the student's
needs. In other words the course is tailor made
depending on student's needs. Uptil now there are
about 500 local and about 50 overseas students who have
successfully completed the designated courses. The
courses comprise of mainly "Asanas", "Pranayamas" and "Dhyanas"
with a special emphasis on "Pranayama".
Mr. Sudhesh
Chandra has written a book in kannada titled "Jeevanada
Jyothi Yoga" which was released in the year 2006. The
book is about yoga and how it helps a person to lead a
better life. The book has earned appreciation of many
people. An english version of this, is intended to be
released soon.
