After a series of private tuitions and giving classes outside, one of his Canadian student named Dr. Christine inspired him to start a centre of his own, so on 19/11/2003 Sri Upanishath Yoga Centre Trust (R) came into existence. Since then his yoga centre is running to full Capacity (Indian Batches) on all the batches. Batches commences from 6 in the morning till 8.10 AM for Indians and from 8.30 am onwards he practices personally as well as teaches for foreign students, where they can get a lot of individual attention. His teaching style is totally dignified and make one understand how to attain the final posture. Yes, unlike other teachers, he rarely adjusts by touching the students, as he always says and believes in svadhyaya (Self – Study). So it will be very easy for the students to adjust themselves with his detailed instructions being given by Sudhesh. The centre will also issues certificates for those who wish to take the TTC(Teachers Training Course)under the guidance of Mr.Sudhesh.
Advantage number two is before he takes the admission of a student he first enquires the reason of joining the class and accordingly to their needs and requirements he fixes up a programme for them. This is great advantage for the new comers as they need not have to go with the asanas which are being practiced by others. He is one who believes as yoga practice is not a standardized one but it is a one to one. Already with the existence of this centre since November 2003 he had around 400-500 Indian students &around 50 overseas students and they have experienced their full satisfaction regarding his teaching, hospitality, kindness and patience.
The centre is not as big as any other yoga centre, it can accommodate 10 – 12 people at a time in a batch. Especially with overseas students he reduces the accommodation to only 8 at a time. The intention is to see that the students get a lot of individual attention.
Sudhesh has come across the overseas students telling about (almost each and everyone) fear that they get hurt while practicing it. But Sudhesh in his centre make a very simple programme for their requirement and according to their respective ages. So senior citizens too can think about joining yoga classes in this centre.
One more advantage in this centre is learning pranayama. In this centre asanas and pranayama are taught simultaneously. There is a special class for pranayam for those who are already practicing asanas with even any of the teacher’s around Mysore. So those who are practicing yoga with any of the teachers in Mysore is no condition put forth (Absolutely from our point) that they can come and join just for Pranayama classes. So you have the choice of joining yoga course by joining for Asanas as well as Pranayama or just Pranayama. |
